BRIGADEIROS

Okay, so what is a Brigadeiro?
Brigadeiro is a Brazilian party food staple. It's similar to a bonbon and only contains three ingredients (the sprinkles aren't required, though they make the brigadeiro have more of a variety of textures) so it's not expensive to make! Which is good for us, eh? So basically how this works is I present the recipe as I find it, but include my changes! These might be changes for taste or even a change in ingredients for price. Changes might also include cooking time, serving size, etc. So yeah, here's the recipe:

Prep Time Cook Time Ready In

10 min 10 ≈ 45 min 45 min ≈ 2 hours

Ingredients

~ 1 tin sweetened condensed milk

~ 2-3 4-5 tablespoons Nestle Quick powder

~ 2 1 tablespoons butter

~ chocolate sprinkles or granulated sugar or any preferred topping (shredded coconut is really good!)

~ tiny paper candy cups

Directions:

- combine ingredients in a heavy pot or saucepan and stir constantly over medium heat, bringing to a boil

- continue stirring about two minutes, or until mixture thickens enough to coat bottom of the pan (about 45 minutes to an hour ish)

- remove from heat and carefully scoop hot mixture out of pot into a separate bowl to cool

- cool completely LET COOL COMPLETELY!

- coat hands with butter and scoop out a tablespoon sized amount into the palm of your hand. roll the ball in sprinkles or sugar and let rest in a paper candy cup (or just pile them on a plate)

Well...what are you waiting for? Go try it out! Haha, or wait till spring break, and we can make them together! :) Either way, hope you like these. They're fantastic little bits of sweetness for the day, not too sweet though. Just enough to satisfy your sweet tooth!

Enjoi!
